Design Service Being right first time, begins here Continual investment in design technology ensures we are using the very latest in IT and CAD systems. Our very comprehensive Design Department has been developed over the years and this now comprises 5 seats of CATIA, with other systems including Delcam Powershape and Auto Cad as support. All tools are fully designed, detailed and surfaced in-house by our highly skilled and trained designers who also have shopfloor and injection moulding experience. This brings a high degree of manufacturing practicality to design and gives us the ability to assist customers at a very early stage with their concepts, helping to identify potential problems, improve moulding conditions, and in some cases simplifying tooling to keep costs to a minimum. We can offer this service independent of tool manufacture should you require. EDM Tooling manufacture is analysed at an early stage with wire erosion and electrode planning completed. This allows design of graphite/copper electrodes and wire profiles to be developed in unison with tooling design and ensures data is readily available for machining to assist a smooth flow of tooling through the manufacturing process.
